Network Operations Center: Safety and Security Features
2 Stage Fire Suppression
The Shore.Net network facility has FM-200 dry chemical fire suppression in all critical areas of the facility, allowing for fire protection without water damage.
Colocation Rooms
Shore.Net has multiple colocation rooms. The rooms are secure, with direct monitoring by Shore.Net technicians. Customers’ servers can be either rack-mounted or placed in secure cages, depending on their configuration.
Diesel-Powered Generators
In the event of an extended power outage, continuous power can be maintained with our N+1 diesel-powered generators, fully serviced and regularly tested.
Conditioned 120 VAC Power
All core equipment and colocated servers are connected to conditioned 120 VAC power, providing both surge protection and uninterruptible power in the event of any power disturbance.
Redundant Air Conditioning
Each room containing temperature-sensitive equipment is serviced by redundant HVAC units. Each unit is capable of carrying the full cooling load by itself.
Security Alarm and Staff Supervision
The entire Shore.Net NOC is protected both from internal and external unauthorized access and fire with industry-standard equipment, including computer-based control and logging capability for each section of the facility. Security cameras monitor and record all activity in areas inside and surrounding the operations center.
