Lowell Gray

Lowell Gray is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shore.Net, an award-winning New England regional Internet Service Provider acquired by Primus Telecommunications Group in March 2000 and re-acquired in March of 2009.  Lowell previously led systems development at Price Waterhouse Technology Centre (Menlo Park, CA), and developed network planning systems at AT&T/Bell Laboratories (Holmdel, NJ) and Bell Communications Research (W. Long Branch, NJ).  He graduated from Harvard College in 1982, with an A.B. in Chemistry and was awarded an Honorary Ph.D. from Salem State College in 2000.

Shore.Net, based in Lynn, Massachusetts, was named the Best of Boston 1999 by Boston Magazine. Shore.Net was ranked the 6th fastest-growing technology company in New England on Deloitte & Touche’s 1999 “New England Technology Fast 50”. Shore.Net was also ranked the 2nd fastest-growing inner-city company in America for two consecutive years in Inc. Magazine’s 1999 and 2000 “Inner-City 100” lists.  In 2000, Lowell Gray was awarded the US SBA Small Businessperson of the Year for Massachusetts.
